If you lost your health care insurance when you lost your job, you have options.

Continue Your Employer-Based Policy

Explore your options for Continuation of Health Coverage (COBRA) with your former employer. If you qualify, you may have to pay the entire cost of the health insurance yourself. Many employers pay for at least part of the health care plan for active employees. This makes insurance through your employer less expensive than if you buy it on your own.
