Pathways to Prosperity
Pathways to Prosperity helps Minnesota workers get the basic skills and training needed to get good paying jobs.
Skills Are at the Center of the New Economy
A highly-skilled workforce is critical for Minnesota's economic growth. Many adults in Minnesota lack the skills to succeed in high-demand careers that pay a living wage. And, many employers cannot find the skilled workers they need to grow their businesses. There is a growing skills gap.
Pathways to Prosperity is a training program that meets the common skills needs of businesses and individuals. It helps under-prepared adults to succeed in careers that pay a living wage. It integrates basic skills and career-specific training in fields where new skills are in demand. Participants receive advising and support services. In addition, they complete a credential valued by employers.
Pathways to Prosperity is a partnership between state, local, and national partners. These partners include WorkForce Centers, state colleges or universities, Adult Basic Education, community-based organizations, and employment and training programs. The partners align their limited resources towards long-term success for adult learners.
