Control and put out fires and respond to emergency situations.

Firefighters respond to fire emergencies where life, property, or the environment is at risk. They may work to prevent or put out fires. Some also provide emergency medical attention.


Wages $19.87 per hour on average  
Outlook The outlook is Very Good
Education & Training High School or less is needed for entry.
