Perform manual labor to maintain or repair highways and roads.

Highway Maintenance Workers maintain highways, city and rural roads, and airport runways. They may patch pavement, repair guard rails, mow or clear brush from the road, or plow snow.


Wages $27.75 per hour on average  
Outlook The outlook is Fair
Education & Training High School or less is needed for entry.
