Prep for College Math is a free, non-credit course for students who score between 39-49 on the Accuplacer arithmetic skills test. Students who have successfully completed Math Review are also eligible. The course is designed to help you improve your math skills to prepare for technical programs and/or Math 0070 (Introductory Algebra). Some Career and Technical Education students are deemed 'program ready' at the completion of this course. In this course you will briefly review place value, rounding, estimating, computation with decimals, ratios, proportions, and percent with an emphasis on application. You will also be introduced to more complex topics such as order of operations, computation with integers, computation with fractions, polynomials, and linear equations. | |
